In ultrasonic scaling, one insert is not enough. Choosing the correct ultrasonic insert can help you to work more efficiently and provide a higher level of comfort for you and your patients. Most patients require more than one type of insert during a single visit.

Thicker inserts with larger diameter, like Powerline, are designed for heavier levels of calculus. Thinner inserts with slim, adaptable tips, like Slimline and Thinsert, are designed for the removal of light to moderate deposits or biofilm. Cavitron Slimline inserts are 30% thinner than Powerline® inserts & provide improved subgingival access. The right and left curved inserts allow for adaptation to root anatomy and are designed for use in furcations and concavities.
